                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE UTC AREA
                   MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 1990 FOR THE PURPOSE
                   OF CONDUCTING THE "MOCCASIN BICYCLE MADNESS
                   CRITERIUM" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE UTC
                   STUDENT ALLIANCE.
                  
                  
                                                      
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Douglas Street between 5th Street and
       McCallie Avenue, Oak Street between Douglas Street and Houston
       Street, the northbound right hand curblane of Houston Street
       between Oak Street and 4th Street, two eastbound southernmost
       lanes of 4th Street between Houston Street and Mabel Street,
       southbound Mabel Street between 4th Street and 5th Street, and
       Vine Street between Houston Street and Douglas Street on 
Saturday,
       September 29, 1990 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the purpose of 

       conducting the "Mocassin Bicycle Madness Criterium" under the
       sponsorship of the UTC Student Alliance provided that the 
sponsors
       shall set out and pick up all flasher barricades, traffic cones,
       and traffic signs in accordance with the traffic control plan
       attached hereto and shall provide at all times, an access lane 
for
       fire and other emergency vehicles.
